When we experience the body in pain or in a state of fatigue our perception of our body changes. It can feel like a prison, full of hurts, stiffness, tiredness and other weird symptoms.

This energy field, the body, is conveying something deeper than the stiff shoulders, back pain or brain fog, it's asking for your attention, it's asking you to slow down, to stop pushing against it or trying to escape it.

We can compound the grief of the loss of our "before autoimmune disorder body" by not honoring what our bodies are experiencing now.

By not adjusting our lifestyle, our diet, our exercise routine we can cause symptoms to worsen ensuring misery to follow.

Listen to your body, rest, rest, and rest some more.

Listen to your bodies wisdom, it's knowing of what's best for it, lean into those sore and stiff places, settle down and lean into it.

Turn off the devices and dedicate some time to feeling all the body is offering.

If you are able, use your slow steady breath as you feel into the sensation of pain, if its a strong sensation just hold your awareness on the edges of it.

When we allow ourselves to be present with it rather than pushing away from discomfort wonderful things can happen.

You may find there's an emotion that comes to the surface to be processed properly and cleared, it might have been there for a very, very long time just waiting for you to pay attention until pain was the only way to get your attention.

Brain fog can be extremely frustrating, not being able to remember the names of everyday objects, forgetting important commitments and feeling like you've let people down.

But this is the ideal time to come away from the head and into the heart, what a gift!

We can take this time to draw our awareness to that sacred space at the centre of the chest and experience a deep peace or acknowledge what ever arises from this place, something that often goes unattended because of our busy lives, brain fog offers us the space to come home to our heart.

Our bodies are not prisons, they are highly intelligent energy fields constantly trying to communicate with us and waiting for us to tune in and listen. Listen to your body, let go of the misguided busy culture that society has cultivated, make time for gentle healing, make time to be with your body, to move it gently, let your body know that

you love it, hug your body with loving intention.
